In January and August this year, the total amount of social logistics nationwide was 243.6 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.The steady growth of the total amount of social logistics has been promoted simultaneously with structural optimization, and the resilience of the industrial chain and supply chain has been further highlighted.Specifically, the basics of industrial product logistics are stable.From January to August, the total volume of industrial product logistics increased by 5.3% year-on-year, and the demand for upgraded industrial manufacturing logistics accelerated.In August, the added value of high-tech manufacturing and digital product manufacturing increased by 16.7% and 15.7% respectively, contributing more than 60% to the growth of designated industries. The output of industrial robots increased by 34.6%, jointly driving new logistics demand.

In terms of import logistics, from January to August, the total amount of import logistics increased by 0.6% year-on-year, and industrial upgrading goods continued to form the main support.The import value of mechanical and electrical products and high-tech products increased by 44.0% and 60.1% respectively year-on-year; the import volume of industrial robots and semiconductor manufacturing equipment increased by 27.8% and 53.6% respectively.Changes in the structure of imported products have put forward higher requirements for bonded logistics, precision transportation, and international channel adaptation capabilities, and relevant logistics supply has accelerated follow-up and adaptation.

Liu Yuhang, director of the China Logistics Information Center, said that overall, from January to August this year, my country's social logistics operations remained stable and made progress, and resilience and vitality continued to be demonstrated. Online consumption continues to be active and logistics in lower-tier markets is steadily expanding

From the perspective of people's livelihood consumption logistics, from January to August, the total logistics volume of units and residents increased by 3.4% year-on-year, and the retail sales of rural consumer goods increased by 2.3% year-on-year. The growth rate was 1.3 percentage points higher than that in urban areas. The continuous innovation of logistics service models strongly supports the accelerated expansion of logistics demand in the sinking logistics market.
